Wise Farms is a family operated business specializing in breeding and promoting race and barrel performance horses. Our goal is to assist mare owners in producing top quality horses with intelligence, beauty, and athletic ability. We believe that the best equine competitors in the world possess all three.
Our breeding program is centered on matching our mares with some of the nation’s top Barrel and Speed Stallions available. This includes the selective crossing of our outstanding stallions with our hand picked brood mares.
Over the years, we have observed different breeding trends and philosophies as to what makes the best barrel horse. For example, some years we have seen equine competitors bred with a tremendous amount of speed, but with little natural turning ability. A few years later, we have seen horses with a tremendous natural turning ability only to be outrun in a big pattern. Our goal is to breed for the best of both worlds.
Currently, we are standing “Sporting A Rare Form” one of the prettiest horses in the business! “Lightning” as we call him is a black AQHA grandson of the infamous speed producing stallion
“Rare Form” (SI-120) out of “Miss Sporty Go” an extremely nice barrel racing/state dash champion mare. The goal of this breeding was to cross race horse speed with a proven hard turning, quick, and responsive mare. He is working the pattern nicely and clocking very impressive times. Look to hear more about Lightning in the coming months and years.
We also own one of the only Palomino sons of “Dash Ta Fame”.
“Flashing To Fame” is a gorgeous Palomino who is out of a AAA race winner and producing mare. “Flash” is the product of the magic cross. Dash ta Fame as the sire with Easy Jet as the maternal grandsire. Proven runners, barrel performers, and producers are all through his pedigree. Dash Ta Fame
(SI 113) has proven himself, year after year, to be not only one of the hottest barrel sires in the nation, but also one of the leading sires of racehorses.
Our decision to bring these bloodlines into our breeding program is no accident. Despite the diversity in riders, the sires and dams of our horses have consistently and remarkably proven themselves to be exceptional. This is also witnessed by their demand in the marketplace. The bloodlines of our Stallions have also proven to produce some of the highest resale of any stallion on the market today. They are also one of leading choices of some of the top trainers in the industry.

Wise Farms offers a full range of commercial stallion breeding services. Our goal is to provide stallion owners with the most current technology available for the reproductive management of their stallions. These services are designed to assist owners with the benefits of using their stallion’s semen in a fresh or shipped-cool semen program. The stallion breeding services are provided through either of two ways: Out Patient (trailer-in) or In Patient (stallion housed at the farm). All services are charged on a per-procedure basis.
Semen collection is performed at the farm using routine techniques. After semen is collected, it is immediately evaluated and processed for fresh or shipped-cool semen use. The initial semen evaluation includes determination of the following: 1)gel-free volume 2) percent sperm motility, and 3) sperm concentration. If the semen is to be used for fresh insemination, the appropriate volume of raw semen is mixed with semen extender so that each insemination dose contains at least 500 million progressively motile sperm cells. If the semen is to be used for a shipment, the appropriate volume of semen is mixed with the extender so that each dose contains 1 billion progressively motile sperm cells. After processing, the semen is packaged into an appropriate container and shipped to the mare owner. The stallion owner may provide their own shipping containers or rent/purchase one from the farm.
